Emasithandane means a place where we love each other, in Xhosa. It was started by Mama Zelphina Maposela with the vision of caring for orphans and vulnerable children in her community of Nyanga. Mama Zelphina Maposela tragically passed away in 2016, but the home continues to run and provide a sanctuary for over 30 children.
Emasi is run by a group of dedicated people who look after the growing number of children.
